George Idan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with Political Science from the University of Ghana in June 1996 and a Master of Science in Administration of Justice from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Prior to graduation George worked as an intern at the Cumberland County Prison where he was involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of inmates. George worked in the Juvenile Justice System soon after graduation providing case management and counseling services to adjudicated youths and their families. His academic and career interest has been working to improve the quality of life for children and youths and families through practical and evidence based therapeutic interventions. George has attended seminars and courses in Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
He received certification in Functional Behavior Assessment and Treatment Plan Development sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Autism. George is married with three children. He loves soccer and enjoys traveling to tourist destinations.
